Will Shenk, Studio Engineer
Will’s professional experiences range from engineering radio broadcasts for
non-profit organizations and creating weekly syndicated radio shows, to recording & mixing full score music productions, completing
detailed audio restorations, and performing high quality CD/DVD mastering for commercial release. As the chief engineer
for National Media Services since May 2003 his responsibilities are numerous and include recording, mixing, editing, restoration, and
mastering, but Will believes his specialty is still as a mastering and restoration engineer. Will is a graduate of Shenandoah University, Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Will has designed and configured many different facilities during his career including the brand new
studios here at NMS.
George Hodgkiss, Engineer Emeritus
George has 38 years experience as an audio/video recording & transmission engineer. His specialty is in acoustic recording and
mixing. Although retired from full time recording with N.M.S. in 2003, he remains just as busy as ever in his personal studio (Phoenix
Productions…annex studio to N.M.S.) in Browntown, VA. George is still the master when it comes to that perfect mix and that is why we
refuse to let him retire completely.

Kemp Miller, Voice Talent
Kemp is a 30-year veteran in the radio industry, and a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in English. It is
very evident that he loves being in front of a microphone, and he tries to make it show in the work that he does. We think that he makes it
seem effortless. He never seems to lose a beat even on very large reading projects. He is a great attribute to the organization and we are
proud to have him.
Read what Kemp has to say about his experiences here: “Here at National Media Services, I get to record a variety of
material. It makes the work really interesting. Some days, I am asking questions of an expert in communications for a series of
training tapes. Other days, I may be reading a study guide for people working on getting a promotion. Another time, I may be
reading a health insurance publication that people will use to make important health care decisions. I’m proud to be a part of the
National Media Services team, because over the past 15 or so years, I’ve learned that nothing stands in the way of their commitment to
quality.”

Tom Frazier, Video Engineer
Tom joined National Media Services in 2004 and handles all DVD & video production requests that come to us. His forte is in
multi format video restoration, editing & conversion. Utilizing the latest technology in video production such as with our two
Casablanca digital video editors, Tom is not only able to meet the demands of our clients; he is able to exceed them. This is also due in
part to the wonderful talent that he brings to National Media Services. Tom doesn't often show his face - in interest of national security
(he sometimes works undercover!)
